Marketing, PR and Sponsorship

Clients often find this a daunting part of staging an event, and do not know where to start, so we are happy to use our experience to develop a strategy at the outset.

Many charities, and other not-for-profit organisations will need to arrange a portfolio of sponsors to ensure the financial viability of their event, and that is something we are experienced at arranging. In fact, we always try to take this a little step further, and plan the sponsorship such that both the client organisation and their sponsors achieve the maximum overall benefit from their involvement.

In addition, we are well aware that invariably clients are looking for intangible spin-offs from their event, such as positive media exposure, staff motivation or the  stimulation of creativity within a sector. We consider that the discussion of these issues is a critical part of establishing a robust project brief for your event, and is an area that needs to be dealt with early in the planning phase. If this has not been discussed already, then it can often be helpful for us to facilitate a brainstorming session with some of the key people within your organisation to surface some of these objectives. If your organisation has a dedicated marketing manager or team, then we would expect to liase closely with them to help achieve such objectives.

Perhaps you are lucky in that the format of your event is well established, and delegates are keen to attend. However, if not then we can we can plan appropriate coverage or paid advertising in trade press, or print, broadcast or electronic media. It is often helpful to set up a dedicated website, and we can do that for you, or maybe work to develop pages relevant to your event on your own website. We have access to some very good graphic designers, and can arrange to have a range of publicity materials developed, and collate and  distribute mailshots to prospective delegates.
